Celia Grace seeks to provide today’s growing population of “green brides” with bridal gowns that are sustainable without sacrifice. Celia Grace, currently pre start-up, has won acclaim for its business concept. In 2011, we accepted an Entrepreneurial Spirit Award from the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and were also recognized as one of the top five exhibiting companies at the Grinspoon Banquet.
Despite growing demand, there are few viable options for brides who want to reduce the negative environmental and social impacts of their wedding dress. Existing options for these brides are limited, and each requires sacrifice on behalf of the bride.
Celia Grace offers the solution to this problem: our certified Fair Trade gowns, the first on the market, will utilize modern designs, traditional fabrics and high quality construction. These features will empower each bride to weather values without having to look like she is. In addition, Celia Grace dresses will be accessible to the average bride, both in price and ease of purchase. Retail prices start at $750, well below the average price of a wedding dress ($1,074 in 2011). Gowns will be easy to purchase for any U.S. bride though CSW’s own online shop, through trunk shows hosted by bridal shops across the country, and through direct sales house parties.
