Scott Foster is a business and entrepreneurial lawyer at Bulkley Richardson, a law firm with offices in Springfield, Boston and Amherst
Scott has represented numerous businesses and business owners in a wide variety of transactions, with a focus on representing both parties in stock and asset transactions and clients in financing transactions with commercial lenders and private investors. His experience also includes drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, leases, covenants not-to-compete, employment agreements, licensing contracts and supplier agreements. He is particularly attuned to the issues that face family owned businesses and has helped several such businesses through the transition between generations of ownership.
Scott is currently the chairman of the Forest Park Zoological Society, Inc. (which manages the Forest Park Zoo), and is a past member of the Longmeadow Conservation Commission. He is also an active participant in the Massachusetts Bar Foundation and is the recipient of the Foundation’s 2009 President’s Award. In 2010, Scott co-founded Valley Venture Mentors, Inc., an organization dedicated to providing business mentoring to pre-angel start ups.
Scott also sits on the Economic Development Council of Western Massachusetts’ Home Field Advantage Committee and the Pioneer Valley Plan for Progress’ Small Business Strategy Team.
