Berkshire Film and Media Commission, Bottling Hope, Crowd Solar and eOutfitter successfully pitched for acceptance into the long-term mentoring accelerator.
SPRINGFIELD, MA (September 24, 2012) An organization dedicated to bringing more movie production to western Massachusetts, a water bottling company with an environmental and social sustainability focus, entrepreneurs helping communities invest in solar energy, and a new interactive online shopping mall are the latest early-stage startups to be accepted into Valley Venture Mentors (VVM).
Each of the ventures pitched VVM mentors during the organization’s summer session and were later notified of their success. “These ventures are further proof of the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit of this region and the need for mentoring organizations like ours,” noted Attorney Scott Foster, Co-Founder and President of VVM. “We continue to attract both high quality startups and mentors with the very nuanced expertise they need. In the near future, VVM will add new programming tracks to handle the needs of our newest ventures as well as those of organizations that have recently graduated, but still need our support.”
The startups have already attended a VVM Pitch Camp and have been assigned a facilitator to help them prepare for each of their subsequent pitches and mentoring sessions.
Valley Venture Mentors (VVM) provides critical support to the entrepreneurial ecosystem by uniting experienced mentors with early stage startups. With the support of more than 100 mentors, the organization helps startup founders develop execution and go-to-market strategies at monthly pitch and planning sessions. Startups are accepted on a rolling basis. For more information, please visit www.ValleyVentureMentors.org
