Everybody loves Valley Venture Mentors (VVM) meetings. Since we started, our focus has been: great meetings, great mentors, great startups. Unfortunately, “great fundraising” did not make the list until very recently. It costs about $3,000 per month to run Valley Venture Mentors as you know it. Of course, many other organizations support us with goods and services that would top tens of thousands of dollars annually if we were paying for them. While we have a bright future – lots of proposals out for long term funding – the present is pretty gloomy. Enter Steve Willis…again.
Some of you might not know that not only did Steve help start VVM, he helps fund it every year. As our top investor, he is very bullish on our future. He also wants us to get started on serious fundraising. That’s where we need your help. Steve is putting up an additional $10,000 to help get us through the year, but only if we can match it with other contributions. If you or your company are in a position to help VVM, now is the time because, essentially, your donation’s value will be doubled. Even if you can modestly support VVM each month through “buying your ticket” – that helps. The important thing is, if you really love Valley Venture Mentors, please add your financial support to secure the our collective mentoring efforts.
Act quickly. The Willis Challenge Ends in October.
