Valley Venture Mentors is searching for passionate, coachable, and ambitious entrepreneurs for its fall season. It doesn’t matter to us the type of venture, where it is located, or where — or whether — the founders went to school. It doesn’t matter how long they have been in business, or how much money they have (or don’t). What does matter is dedication and zeal for growth.
VVM Startups receive one-on-one help reviewing their goals, monthly assignments, pitching practice, and the advice and support of the Valley Venture Mentors Network. We are proud to run a palpably exciting accelerator program, attended each month by dozens of experienced businesspeople and successful entrepreneurs. The monthly meetings are designed to maximize opportunities for our startups. They center on venture presentations that get the word out about the venture’s needs, and catalyze small-group satellite discussions which allow involved, thoughtful feedback from mentors who matter.
“VVM has been recognized as one of the most exciting mentorship programs in New England. We are able to provide a hands-on mentoring experience, allowing the entrepreneur to access years of business experience, that is customized to the particular needs of the entrepreneur. VVM serves as a launch pad propelling our startups to success.” reported VVM’s co-founder, Scott Foster.
If you would like to apply to VVM, fill out an application here. In round 2 of our selection process, every applicant is invited to an online pitch camp and given free pitching advice. The third round is an in-person audition, to be held in September. Startups are critiqued according to their passion, their reaction to advice, and VVM’s own ability to help: do we have enough mentors with relevant expertise?
If you are not sure whether Valley Venture Mentors is a good fit for your business, we invite you to one of our monthly meetings to find out.
The application deadline is September 1st.
See you there!
