Valley Venture Mentors celebrated its second anniversary on February 13th by holding a Demo Day for its startups. Entrepreneurs did their usual pitches, but this time it was to a record crowd of close to 100 registered mentors, investors, and guests. Before and after the pitch sessions, they met in smalls groups at their demo tables around the room.
“This was an important event for VVM,” noted Attorney Scott Foster, Co-Founder and President of Valley Venture Mentors. “It represents the first time that we have been able to provide a forum for our ventures to present not only to mentors, but to the community as a whole. It was a successful and important additional step in growing our regional startup ecosystem.”
Several of the ventures also graduated from the mentoring accelerator including Crowd Solar, Tinville, InsideOut Solar, PeopleHedge, and Bakepedia. Incredible deserts were provided by Bakepedia (thank you Dèdè).
New applicants to VVM are currently completing pitch camp and the most successful will be invited to pitch registered mentors at the March meeting for acceptance.
